Chateau for Hire – Dordogne

The Chateau de Fayolle dates back to the mid 1600's but having been completely refurbished now offers old french charm alongside modern comforts. With 6 fabulous ensuite bedrooms in the main house, they have all been furnished with French antiques. Happily this doesnt mean that the beds are lumpy and uncomfortable but are a joy to sleep in. Added to this all the bedrooms have satellite TV/Radio. The ensuite bathrooms are luxurious and each have their own hot water tanks to ensure that not only do you not run out of hot water but that we are conserving energy by not heating water for rooms not in use! 

Our swimming pool uses a salt filtration system and we have low wattage bulbs througout the house. We only use local suppliers for our food so it is rare for anything to travel more than 30 miles. We are keen on recycling and make regular trips to the local recycling centre.

We appreciate that people fly here or come by car but we have tried to make the chateau as sustainable as possible and make special efforts in the areas of ur own fuel and water consumption. The downstairs reception rooms consist of a formal dining room and salon with an additional reception room where you can watch TV or relax. There is also  a well equipped kitchen and downstairs cloakroom. 

Additional accommodation is provided in The Lodge, a 3/4 bedroom house adjacent to the Chateau and located in the chateau gardens. This self-contained accommodation offers the opportunity to holiday with family and friends but with the option of having your own space. The Lodge also has a fully equipped kitchen and a large sitting room.

Outside the gardens are mainly lawn and have swings and a slide for our younger guests. The chateau has several terraces both front and rear and a fully enclosed pool area with large terrace and a games area with table tennis, table football, pool. Great fun to play inbetween swims and BBQ's.

Prices for Exclusive use of Chateau and The Lodge - May to September €5900 per wk or €950 per night minimum 3 nights.(conversion into sterling at 1.15 = £5130 per wk or £826 per night)
