Chateau de Fayolle to fundraise for village school in Villetoureix.
When the sunshine returns a very English cream tea will be served on the front lawn of the chateau to support the village school in their fundraising for a school trip to Morrocco. People will be invited to come and have a traditional afternoon tea with little sandwiches and homemade cake and all proceeds will be donated to the school.

First snow of the winter.
Time to switch the heating to full blast and keep those shutters closed. It's beautiful but cold and after a walk along the lanes and a brief snowball fight it's boots off and in front of the log fire with a stiff drink or a nice cup of tea.

The red squirrels are out collecting.
The red squirrel (ecureuil) in France is more common than the grey squirrel - a constant surprise to visitors from the UK where grey squirrels have largely evicted the red squirrel population. The red squirrel is active in the day rather than the night, and is not especially timid, so is frequently seen all around the gardens collecting for the harsh winter months.
